LEGO CUUSOO Minecraft Update! (And Full Details Revealed!)

So in my previous Minecraft related post, I said the product would be announced "Monday, February 15th" - well nobody corrected me, but it was actually announced WEDNESDAY, February 15th - come on readership, step up, I can't do this blog all on my own, ya know! So today is Thursday, and it is time to post about it!

LEGO Minecraft has now not only been revealed, but you can place your pre-orders now as well!

All of the model details can be found at LEGO CUUSOO's blog regarding the entry, and to make a pre-order, you must 'Like' LEGO Minecraft on Facebook to place one, and the CUUSOO blog says that you will eventually be able to buy the product directly from the LEGO store.  Of course, you can always skip the Facebook thing and go straight to Mojang's (Minecraft's lead designer) retail partner J!NX, who are already taking pre-orders!

The sets are designed to be modular, and to be attached using small axle pieces.  The MSRP on the sets are 34.99, I believe USD, contain 480 pieces, and are scheduled to be released this Summer.  Here's the 'official' blurb on the set from J!NX:
Help Steve survive his first night in a strange new world. Avoid the creeper and start mining for resources that will help you survive and thrive. Configure your four micro-scale LEGO Minecraft modules any way you like. Build your own mines and hills, and expand your world with multiple sets. Includes four LEGO Minecraft modules, hidden resources, extra pieces for wood, dirt, and stone, two "Micro Mobs;" Steve and a creeper.

I particularly like the little micro mob pieces, and a full downloadable gallery of the set for the sets can be found on the CUUSOO blog as well.  And if that doesn't sell you yet, then know that 1% of all proceeds will go to a yet to be determined charity of Mojang's choosing.
